strip cards

Another little friend's birthday card and a great way if using up lots of little pieces of DS paper.
So quick to do and then the Big Shot makes personalising the card so fast and easy. I put the letters through the Big Shot Polka Dot Textured Impressions folder just for a little bit of added interest.

pennant parade eats cake

This was a birthday card for Jake's school friend from ages ago
- I'm cleaning out all my backlogged blog posts!
This was fun to make and it's great especially when their name isn't one that you can usually find on a card or anywhere common - like my name! I think I'm so obsessed with putting names on card because it was always an amazing thrill when I got some thing with my name on it when I was little!

GREAT NEWS

So my GREAT news  is that I became a (very young) Great Aunt in the last school holidays. My nephew, who made me an Aunty, and his wife had their first little baby - a girl! Olivia and she is just gorgeous.
And when I say little I really mean little. Sadly I'm yet to meet her as she was a bit early - 32 weeks - so is a very precious and special little one who needs extra care and time before she meets the big wide world.
She is doing amazingly well and only spent a week in the big hospital before they could return to a hospital closer to home but it will a little bit of time before she heads home yet.
I've had a bit of a cold and there's Whooping Cough going around my kids at school so we won't be able to meet her until that is under control and not a threat to our precious little great niece.

I just have to share my favourite photo of her. She didn't take her eyes off Dad the whole bath - how beautiful is that! It's so lovely to see my nephew become a Dad and Lauren is a wonderful Mum. It's been a pretty crazy start to parenting for them, if you are a 'pray'er your prayers would really be appreciated for them at this difficult time, thanks!
Here's to a little bit of pink in our lives!

Digger wrap - yo!

My life is generally surrounded my little boys so most things I do are boy focused but I have exciting news to tell that is a big change from that! But I will keep you in suspenders for a little bit longer.
In the meantime here is more boy stuff!

This stamp set was the first on my list from the catalogue this year as Josh just adores diggers, trucks, cars - anything with wheels pretty much. It looks great used to make matching wrapping paper.

My boys helped me make this having one colour each. The perfectionist gave up after not getting one perfect and the phlegmatic gave up after he got bored only using the same colour so I had to finish off but they helped a bit.

The bold primary colours are perfect for little boys.
Real Red, Pacific Point, Garden Green and Daffodil Delight.

Joel

Sorry it's been so long since my last post!  Life has been a bit hectic of late and I've had to focus on it rather than the lovley land of blogdom!
Here is a very simple little boy card I did ages ago using the Big Shot Simple Letters Alphabet Die.
I love how easy it is to personalise and make a stand out card mixing patterned papers for effect. I love this colour combo for boys - Marina Mist, So Saffron, Pear Parfait and Tangerine Tango on a Chocolate Chip  background - sounds delicious too!
