our holiday - no crafty content today

Life has been rather busy and wonderful all at the same time so I'd like to  share little about what the past few months have been like.

I was offered work teaching two days a week in term 3 last year which was fantastic - absolutely loved being back in the classroom spending the day with funny, talented and gorgeous kids. My boys school also offered me a days work a week in term 4 so in the end I was working up to 4 days a week when they needed me to do extra days. It's very nice to be 'needed' but to go from 0 days teaching to 4 days a week was a little bit of a change in the household as you can imagine so some things on the list just never got done sadly - blogging was one of them. I was still doing SU! stuff just didn't have time to blog about it.
Christmas was a lovely time away in Forster and we had just over a week to recover after that before heading off again to Forster as the first stop in our big road trip.
You may know that my hubby got into cycling a couple of years back and it has become his favourite hobby so we decided with some advice from experienced friends to go to Adelaide to see the Tour Down Under (Australia's version of the Tour de France). We drove across to Adelaide and back via Ballarat (Sovereign Hill) all in all our trip was over 5000km!
The boys did amazingly well and were thankful for fantastic weather everywhere ( I hear Sydney was not so fantastic)  SO here are a few highlights of our trip.
Cheering on the riders at the start line....

dinner by the beach seeing the sunset over the water with our friends,

Meeting our favourite rider, the Legend Jens Voigt,

Seeing Australia's First UCI licenced team Green Edge have it's rider Simon Gerrans win the first event of the year!
travelling through Australia's amazing countryside - lots of flat fields and we saw Emus!

Panning for gold at Sovereign Hill - Scott was fairly successful!

My goodness there were so many I could go on but will restrain myself and stop there.
Now I'm back into the swing of the year and working casually so I am hoping to get my SU! head into action a bit more.
